Excutive Director, Ignite Solutions
Jim Jones, Executive Vice President of Strategic Alliances & Industry Relations. Jones is the former Assistant Administrator of the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP) at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Jones will focus on expanding and strengthening the association’s relationships with industry, NGOs, retailers and all levels of government, while also increasing sustainability efforts in the consumer, industrial and institutional specialty chemicals industry. Jones will also assume responsibility for the association’s Pest Management Division. Jim is also the leader of the Ignite Solutions Team where his experience at EPA will significantly enhance Ignite Solutions’ ability to provide strategic research insights for its Task Forces.
Jones held various management positions focused on chemicals, toxics, and pesticides during his 30- year career at EPA. As leader of OCSPP, an office of highly-skilled technical staff of about 1,000 people and a budget of $225 million, he was responsible for implementing the nation’s pesticide, toxic substances, and pollution prevention laws.
Among his many accomplishments, Jones was instrumental in working with bipartisan leadership in the House and Senate on the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, which overhauled the Toxic Substances Control Act and was signed into law in 2016 by President Obama. He also led the early stages of implementation of the act which had not been updated in nearly 40 years. Jones was also responsible for leading several successful national sustainability programs, including launching the increasingly industry accepted Safer Choice program and establishing federal “Green Guidelines” to facilitate federal purchasing of green products. He also directed the updating of the Farmworker Safety and Pesticide Certification and Training Rules while at EPA.
Jones earned an M.A. in Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland. He is a 2003 recipient of the Presidential Rank Award for Meritorious Service and in 2010 he was awarded the Presidential Rank Award for Distinguished Service. In January of 2012, President Obama nominated Jones to the position of Assistant Administrator for the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention at the EPA. In August 2013, the United States Senate confirmed his nomination.
Hannah Alleman, PMP
Senior Project Manager
Hannah Alleman works with Ignite Solutions as a Senior Project Manager. She focuses her efforts on project management and supports several groups, including, the Council for the Advancement of Pyrethroid Human Risk Assessment, LLC (CAPHRA) and the Non-Dietary Exposure Task Force (NDETF). In addition, Hannah manages the Pyrethrin Steering Committee/Joint Venture (PJV) and the Piperonyl Butoxide Task Force II (PBTFII). This includes administrative, contract, financial, and data analysis of day-to-day operations. Hannah also assists Jim Jones, Executive Director, Ignite Solutions, with business development opportunities, Ignite Solutions branding and marketing , and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Ignite Solutions program.
Prior to HCPA, Hannah worked as a Program Manager for a financial information gathering firm and with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, as a contractor, in the Office of the Chief Security Officer and the Undersecretary for Management’s Office. Hannah is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is a graduate of James Madison University with a B.A. in International Affairs.
Zachariah Parkhill works with Ignite Solutions as a Project Manager. He focuses his efforts in the project management and analysis of the Anti-Microbial and Repellent Ignite Solutions Task Forces. This includes administrative, financial, and data analysis of day-to-day operations. In addition, Zach manages the Supplier Information Reporting Work Group (SIRWG). SIRWG is a coalition of nine consumer products companies that collaborate to satisfy their retail consumers’ increasing need for regulatory compliance and sustainability information. Zach also assists Jim Jones, Executive Director, Ignite Solutions, in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Ignite Solutions program while also providing support with business development opportunities.
Prior to HCPA, Zachariah worked with government agencies such as the Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Federal Bureau of Investigation managing their Tactical Communication projects. Zachariah is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in Political Science.
Tori Devine works with Ignite Solutions as a Project Manager. She manages Ignite Solution’s Pyrethrin/Pyrethroid groups, the Plastic Aerosol Research Group (PARG), CARES NG, and the Lawn and Horticulture Products Working Group. This includes administrative, financial, and data-analysis of day-to-day operations. Tori also assists Jim Jones, Executive Director, Ignite Solutions, with financial management of all Ignite Solutions taskforces, including data interpretation of trends and forecasts.
Prior to HCPA, Tori worked in the project management field in Telecommunications and Construction Industries with customers on the commercial and government sides; customers included the Federal Aviation Administration and Customs, Border Protection, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. Tori has B.A. in Political Science from the University of Central Florida.
