Nicholas Georges is the Senior Vice President, Scientific & International Affairs of the Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA).  Georges leads HCPA’s activity on aerosol products and industrial & automotive products, as well as multiple scientific and regulatory areas both domestically and internationally such as air quality.  Georges has a monthly column in Spray Technology & Marketing and often contributes to other publications such as World Aerosols and Aerosol Europe.

Before joining HCPA, Georges was the Director of Regulatory Affairs at PLZ Aeroscience and the Technical Director at Nyco Products Company.  Georges has a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.


Chris Carter

Chris Carter works as a Program Manager for Ignite Solutions. He provides program management, financial, and operational assistances to the Pyrethroid Task Forces. Some of his groups include: the Pyrethrin Joint Venture/Steering Committee (PJV), Piperonyl Butoxide Task Force II (PBTFII), and the Bifenthrin Task Force (BTF). All of his groups are FIFRA data generating groups, and Chris ensures that these groups advance the mission of their members.

Prior to joining Ignite Solutions, Chris was a business development consultant after serving as the Director of Operations for a climate policy non-profit in Washington, DC. Chris is a graduate of Furman University with a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy.


Emilee McCubbins

Emilee McCubbins works as a Program Manager for Ignite Solutions. She provides financial, program management, and operational assistances to several groups. Some of her groups include: the Acephate Task Force, ADBAC & DDAC Issues Steering Committees (ADBAC/DDAC ISCs), Efficacy Task Force (ETF), and the Quat Science Group (QSG). Some of her groups are industry initiative groups and others are FIFRA data generating groups. Emilee ensures that these groups advance the mission of their members.

Prior to joining HCPA, Emilee worked for the District of Columbia Public Schools as a special education English/Language Arts teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from The College of Wooster in English and a Master of Science in Secondary Education from Johns Hopkins University.

Michael Schmitz works as a Program Manager for Ignite Solutions. He provides program management, operational, and financial assistance to several groups. Some of his groups include CARES NG, DEET European Joint Venture (DEET EUJV), DEET Task Force (DTF), DEET Joint Venture (DJV), the Lawn and Horticultural Products Working Group (LHPWG), Pet Care Products Task Force (PCPTF), and Suppliers Ingredient Reporting Working Group (SIR). Some of these his groups are industry initiative groups and others are FIFRA data generating groups. Michael ensures that these groups advance the mission of their members.

Prior to joining HCPA, Michael worked for Fairfax County Public Schools as a middle school history and civics teacher. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Secondary Social Studies Education, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in History.

Prior to joining HCPA, Autumn worked as a project manager for the University of the District of Columbia in the Office of the President. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English from Elon University.
